What do you think on homework?

Good, bad, burnable, dog ate it, ect?

Personally, I see the point in it, and it does help, but home time is time away from school. In the long run, I think everyone should do it.

I understand that homework can be a right pain but I does help in some cases. It really depends on how the homework is given and how its layed out. Sometimes, homework ends up being near enough the same task every week from the same subject, that is the point where I understand that its pointless.

To me, after teaching both teachers and younger children, I understand that once someone has understood a task, there is no need for them to repeat the task over and over or they will just loose concentration and become bored.

But yeah, I think homework is beneficial but can sometimes end up going the wrong way.

I think at a certain point homework should be optional.
Sometimes I do benefit form homework; I'll end up learning more doing it than I did in class. However most of the time it's just unnecessary repetition of work I've already done.
I've also got a procrastination problem so homework usually just causes midnight stress.

My English teacher had a little message on her whiteboard once. "Homework isn't voluntary. DO IT." Razz

I do my homework an get A's usually. I don't mind it, because it helps me learn.
